SONS OF SOUNDS

Four brothers. One band. One faith.

ROMAN BESELT

Vocals & Bassguitar

“There’s no tour plan, no reunion, no new album, nothing.”-this quote applies to another Rock band. The opposite is the case for the Sons of Sounds. They have taken on a steep path to the top; without any compromises. Sons of Sounds; Four brothers, a progressive Heavy-Rock-Ensemble, and one unwavering belief that the journey of a Rock band is theirs.

The origin of the Sons of Sounds.

The first line-up of the band consisted of: Roman, Wayne and H. The three brothers discovered the magic of music early on. Raised by their mother, the former director of the University of Music in Novosibirsk, and father, a professional musician; it goes without saying that the musical influence was inevitable.

Roman, the eldest of the three, started playing the classical violine and piano at a young age. After migrating from Siberia to Germany he switched to the bass and started to sing.

Wayne, the middle child, also kicked his musical education off playing the classical violine and the piano. He then discovered the electric guitar for himself and started singing.

H., the youngest of the three, had no other choice but to submerge into the musical sphere. As the mother’s efforts were useless in teaching him a melodic instrument, he took the spot of drummer.

Friends become brothers: The blood-trio becomes a four-headed supergroup.

Since 2006 these guys have been rocking their way through several clubs and open-air festivals throughout Europe. Tireless, confident and always with a pinch of their zany humour in their flight case.

Due to their Siberian roots, there has always been a deep connection to Shamanism. With the belief of spiritual connection to something greater than oneself but also a connection to everyone else they opened up to the idea of expanding their circle of trust and love.

MARC MAURER

Bass & Backing Vocals

„Having played 15 years as a trio we have grown with our music. Just like life is in constant change, our sound spectrum is just as progressive. We realized that in order to create certain sounds the three of us were no longer enough. Even more so, considering the live shows. Having to rely on technology to be able to perform the songs the way we wanted to, was no longer an option. Thank God for Marc, who we’ve known for all our lives and who has also soaked up the magic of music from early on.”

Marc Maurer, a producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, has been a long-time companion of the Sons of Sounds. Even prior to the band’s foundation Wayne and Marc played in several youth-bands. Attending school together, more or less successfully, also welded the two boys together. It became apparent that Marc had to take the place of the fourth brother. The musical level elevated to the next level of play from the rock-trio to the master-quartet.

Four brothers. One band. Thousands of fans.

As a four-piece Heavy-Rock-ensemble the Sons unleash a bundle of energy characterized by unity, play-euphoria and the zest of life. The outcome is a loud, ceremonial, vivid rock-experience. With perfidious, avantgarde structured rock-hooks and more classic, Maiden-inspired musical arrangements, they gain fan by fan. YouTube Videos with far over 100.000 views and a continuously growing fanbase on Facebook and Instagram are proof of this. Even more apparent are the faces of the audience at a live concert.

Their love for the stage makes it easy for the Sons to capture the audience’s attention. Whether on the Knock Out Festival along the side of Helloween and Pretty Maids, on the Rock of Ages along the side of Kim Wylde, Marillion and Saga or in a penal facility in front of prisoners  - the Sons of Sounds transfer their powerful energy onto the crowds. The Sons are celebrated for their physical and mental exertion, for their show and for their songs.

All of that is only possible when artists really love what they do. Just as a band can only make it to the top having understood what it means to stay true to their vision; turning friends into brothers.
